According to my mother and sister:

At midnight, big buff man with tattoos was slamming his fists against the door, yelling, laughing, singing softly, ringing the doorbell repeatedly, yanking at the door handle, and trying to break into my house. My mother turned off all the lights and used the car keys for the alarm button three times in attempts to scare him away. Didn't work. My mother said that the man was looking through the hole thing on the door that allows you to see who's outside the entire time. She held a metal bat in case, while she tried to calm my sister down. My sister was panicking and kept asking questions, while my mother told her to be quiet to not provoke the man.

She then told my sister to call 911, however, in my sister's state of panic, she responded like: "Who should we call!?" "Is this type of event okay enough to call 911?!" While my mother became increasingly angry/annoyed at this- asking my sister why that normally, my sister is outgoing, loud, and talkative, but at times like this, freaking out.

The police and fire department came over and dragged the man away. While the police were talking to the neighbors, my mother asked (with limited knowledge of English) the policemen who was that man, since my sister was too afraid to ask. Apparently, that man was mentally ill and had been taking too many pills. This was all over about two hours later.

It was a good thing my mother was smart to hurry to the doorway at midnight, my sister being in the living room with the door. Since my sister always opens the door- no matter who and no matter what time. If she had opened the door...

A few nights ago, my mother and I heard the ring that our home sensor makes when a door is open- but it wasn't any of my family... This was at 3 AM... Could this have been related?

I don't understand why this man targeted my house, since my house pretty much hiding behind all the other houses in the corner. I really hope it wasn't one of my neighbors and his family try to get revenge for turning him in...

So glad I was asleep.
